Have you watched any Christmassy feel-good films yet? I’ve already watched a few of my favourites, and decided to make a list of 24 films to watch this Christmas that I’m going to watch over the course of advent! To get into the Christmassy spirit, I always find a good film helps, and there’s loads of great Christmas classics alongside newer films on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Some you can watch for free on standard channels every year, as quite a few are up on BBC or Channel 5 nearer to the Christmas period, while others you can rent for a few quid off Amazon Prime (that’s pound sterling here in the UK).
I’ve made a list of all 24 Christmas films and listed where you can watch on one of the subscription channels, or whether you need to pay for them individually (either to rent or buy).

- The Holiday – available on Netflix and Sky
- Home Alone – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- Home Alone 2 – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- Love Actually – available on Sky
- The Santa Clause – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- The Santa Clause 2 – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- Miracle on 34th Street – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- Arthur Christmas – available on Netflix
- It’s a Wonderful Life – available on Sky
- The Grinch (2018) – available on Netflix and Sky
- Jack Frost – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- Santa Clause: The Movie – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- Elf – available on Sky
- Jingle All the Way – available on Sky
- The Polar Express – available on Sky
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- Last Christmas – available on Sky
- Klaus – available on Netflix
- A Muppet Christmas Carol – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- The Christmas Chronicles – available on Netflix
- The Nutcracker (2011) – available on Amazon Prime
- Father Christmas – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime (but they show it on BBC/standard channels every Christmas time so you could always record it)
- A Christmas Carol (2009) – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime
- The Snowman – available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime (but they show it on BBC/standard channels every Christmas time so you could always record it)
You don’t need to watch these in the order that I am, and there’s a lot more films than this on Sky, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. There’s also my favourite channel this time of year – Christmas 24. I’ve already watched a few cheesy but absolutely filled with Christmas spirit films on there in the last few days. What can I say? I love this time of year!
Have you got a favourite film or films you watch this time of year to get into the Christmas spirit?
